Easiest Apple Tart Ever

If you can make a sandwich ie. butter bread, you can make this.

Ingredients:

1 pack filo pastry
75g crushed digestive biscuits or breadcrumbs (rich tea biscuits at a push)
75g sugar & 1 tsp cinnamon
75g butter, melted & 2 tbsp runny honey or warm jam
4 desert apples, sliced
Extras: icing sugar to dust

Preheat the oven to 200C Line a large baking sheet with baking parchment. Mix together the biscuits, sugar and cinnamon.

Layer 3 sheets of filo, buttering well, onto the baking sheet. Sprinkle with 1/3rd the crumb mixture. Butter 2 more layers or filo on top before sprinkling on another 1/3rd mixture. Layer remaining filo with butter on top to make your tart case.

Spread honey or jam over the base before chucking your apples over the top. You could spend ages getting them into a pretty pattern or you could decide life is too short. Rough looks good.

Sprinkle with the remaining mixture.

Bake in the over for around 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Best served warm with mascapone or a drizzle of  cream.
